Email sign-ups

When you sign up for free alerts or the twice-a-week email, we store your email address, your state and city, and the alerts you picked. Our email service is Kit (ConvertKit), which stores this for us and handles unsubscribes. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

Payments

The twice-a-week email is paid through Kit's checkout. We never see or store your card number.

Phone (push) alerts

If you turn on phone alerts, your browser gives us an anonymous push address and the state you picked. You can turn them off any time in your browser settings.

Cookies and analytics

We don't use advertising cookies or trackers. The site saves your state, text size and color choice in your own browser (local storage) so it remembers them. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard traffic logs and counts visits without cookies.

"Near me" on the winner map

When you tap Near me, your browser asks if it may share your location. If you say yes, your location is used only inside your browser to center the map and sort nearby stores. It is never sent to Lotto Surgeon and never saved. If you type a ZIP code or city instead, we look it up from a file your browser downloads, so that is never sent to us either. The map pictures come from OpenStreetMap.

We never sell your data

We do not sell, rent or share your email or details with anyone, except the services named above that run the site and the emails.
